"HALF 4 HAITI IV"
Children's Hope 4th Annual
Haiti Solidarity Run

WE MADE IT!!
The "Half 4 Haiti IV" Team: Paul Burke, Leisa Faulkner, Orel "Maco" Lisius, Luke Barnes and Caitlyn Orton.
Not pictured: Jake Bellacera, Richard Cannon, Stephanie Lokey, Jasmin Lyons and Melissa Sandberg
Haitian orphanage director and recent law school graduate Orel
"Maco" Lisius flew all the way from Port au Prince to run his first 5K!
The "HALF 4 HAITI IV" Solidarity Run was another rousing success! In all 10 runners participated in the Folsom Blues Breakout Half Marathon and 5K on Sunday, 10/18 to raise money for our Children's Hope projects serving Haiti's poorest and most vulnerable Children. Our "Half 4 Haiti IV" team grew to twice as many solidarity runners as last time out and included five students from Sac State as well as our friend Orel "Maco" Lisius, who flew all the way from Port au Prince, Haiti to run his first 5K! A good time was had by all and, more importantly, we raised over $1,500 in donations and pledges. Thank you all so much for your generosity and solidarity with our sisters and brothers in Haiti. Many hands make the burden lighter. :)

If you made a pledge, please pay your pledge as soon as you are able. If you haven't pledged yet but would like to, no worries, it's not too late, you can still pitch in. Either way, please send your tax deductible contribution to:

"HALF 4 HAITI IV" is Sunday, 10/18. Please Pitch in if You Can! :)

Dear Friends,

"Half 4 Haiti IV" weekend is here! We've assembled our biggest team of Half 4 Haiti runners yet and we can't wait to hit the course at beautiful Lake Natoma in Folsom this Sunday. But that's just half the story... the other half is your solidarity! Each of our Half Marathon and 5K runners has pledged a minimum of $25 to our life changing projects serving Haiti's most vulnerable children described below. Now we're asking you to reach into your hearts, and your wallets, to match or beat the pledges of our dedicated runners. If you can't afford that much, please pitch in whatever you can. It's for a great cause and no donation is too small to make a difference. Simply send a quick email to us at paulb1221@sbcglobal.net and tell us how much you'd like to donate. We won't be collecting the money until after we cross the finish line.

Thank you all so much for your continued generosity and solidarity... many hands make the burden lighter. :)

In Peace & Solidarity,
Paul, Leisa, Luke, Maco
and the entire Children's Hope Half 4 Haiti Team!
